Magazine Publishing

Client: The New Yorker

Graphic Designer: Anita Twitchell

Goal: To increase the digital-only subscription base, targeting tech-savvy people ages 30–50 years, making >$75K/yr, with an interest in current affairs, politics, and the arts.

Solution: I collaborated with a graphic designer to concept and create a dynamic, three-frame banner ad, highlighting the benefit of convenience while expanding one’s knowledge. We worked closely to ensure each frame could stand alone as well as part of a cohesive message, resulting in the (delightful) futuristic theme you see here.

As with any banner ad, I was challenged to retain the tone of the brand – insightful, refined, and slightly whimsical, in this case – in as few words as possible.

Fintech

Client: Qapital

Goal: To increase Qapital’s user base, targeting individuals and couples ages 18–35 years who want to save for life milestones (e.g., buying a home)

Solution: I created a static banner ad promoting the benefit of stress relief with money better managed. The image helps viewers more easily imagine themselves with their money stress melting away.
